It's your fun dive bar, country music, variety of people, cheap beer, a few bar food menu items. You can dress up, you can dress down... just plan on country music with a dash of dance hits thrown in.
Definitely a fun vibe, the prices are pretty low ($5 cover, $5 unlimited bull rides and reasonably priced drinks). I liked the live music, and of course the bull was a real highlight. Four stars because of the atmosphere. It's mostly middle aged people, and my friends and I (mid-twenties females) got a lot of attention and unsolicited comments from some of the older men. I didn't feel unsafe, but it was a bit uncomfortable, and we left after an hour. Definitely not a young scene, or a great environment for young women, but it was worth it once for the bull.
My wife and I went to see a Karaoke competition last night (which was REALLY good - great talent and one of the best sound systems I've heard in West Michigan). Had some drinks and some food too. Overall, a great experience, with a really cool atmosphere!
Great place, fun times. Family enjoys this place. The bands are great. The drinks well prepared. The atmosphere is fun and electrifying. All around great place and good times. I'd recommend people stop in.
Georgia the host of karaoke ruined the whole night for us. We’ve never been to this establishment, and decided downtown wasn’t in our plans for Halloween, and we were excited to sing and partake in the costume contest, as we dressed in a couple's costume for the first time. Georgia was intently mean, and made a rude comment as my girlfriend left the stage. She intentionally embarrassed my girlfriend on stage, and turned the mic down so nobody could hear her sing with Georgia who sang over her. I noticed she did this, and was very upset, because my girlfriend was nervous, but sings very well. As we left before our food arrived, she was unkind, as she was next to the door. Steve, and the barback very very accommodating, but we felt so uncomfortable that we closed our tab without eating, and will probably not return especially if she’s hosting an event. I would not recommend this experience to friends unfortunately.
Good place for drinks. It was extremely busy. Two fights had to be broken up, and the people removed. Music was at a definite good level, able to have conversations and listen.
It's my third visit. I always have fun. I have never had the food, but it's more like snack bar items. Dance floor it small, but not a lot of people dance. You are always able to call ahead of time to reserve a table. (No additional cost) You do have to be there at the time of reservation. If 15 mins past and not all members of the table arrive, it will be up for grabs.
It’s bar food… and wasn’t the cleanest when I was there. I will say it was really busy so I’m sure they just hadn’t gotten around to it. We had a good time still. 40th birthday party and we got him on the mechanical bull lol.!
